TAKING HID LIGHT INTO THE 21ST CENTURY

Designed with the 21st century in mind, Metrolight’s Monitoring and Control Systems deliver sophisticated, yet user-friendly energy saving solutions that enable customers to:
  • Actively manage their lighting installation.
  • Decrease light output according to their requirements and thus save on energy costs.
  • Plan their maintenance program and save on maintenance costs.
  • Re-program and reconfigure ballasts individually or in logical groups.
Metrolight’s Monitoring and Control systems are comprised of following:

Analog Dimming

The advantage of Analog Dimming lies in its simplicity. The Metrolight Smart Electronic Ballasts for HID can be connected to a number of standard 0-10v control devices such as analog dimmers, sensors, and timers. These devices control the light output according to human activity (when someone enters a warehouse), light harvesting scenarios (fluctuations in environmental lighting), and time (off-peak periods requiring less light). The Metrolight dimming method is based on the adaptive control of output current of individual ballasts and provides continuous, flicker-free dimming at the required light output level. Analog dimming is a cost effective and automated benefit that delivers additional energy savings.

Digital Dimming

Digital dimming is achieved through the Metrolight Control™ software or by integrating with existing monitoring and control systems. The system provides online two-way communications and connects the Metrolight Smart Electronic Ballasts for HID into a controlled network and to a central computer. They connect via the Metrolight Interface Junction Box using MADLI™ communication protocol. The system connects up to 256 ballasts on a single network segment.

Metrolight Control™

The Metrolight Control™ is a powerful energy management software tool that enables users to achieve the optimal calibration of their lighting requirements according to specific needs per single or multiple fixtures, thus substantially reducing energy costs. The system uses sophisticated, yet user-friendly software that provides users with a visual representation of the installation as well as the ability to monitor lamp status, define schedules for dimming and switch groups of lamps ON and OFF. The lamps can be controlled individually or combined into groups, so that commands can be sent to all lamps in a group simultaneously. In addition, the system provides alerts to power line voltage irregularities, lamp end-of-life, and power output irregularities, allowing for cost-effective and efficient scheduling of maintenance.
  • Displays a fully configurable visual representation of the site
  • Supports manual and automatic dimming control for maximum energy savings
  • Supports the aggregation of ballasts into logical groups
  • Offers the ability to turn ON, OFF, or DIM each logical group or individual lamp, either manually or using a predefined schedule
  • Provides configuration management and intuitive graphical user interface
  • Monitors and logs the status and output values of each lamp in an installation
  • Generates lamp failure alerts and notifications
  • Ideal for malls, distribution centers, gas stations, warehouses, high bay retailers, and more
