Energy is an essential commodity in our lives and the use of energy is increasing with industrial development. For lighting alone, electricity consumption is expected to increase by 60% in the next 20 years. Today, lighting is responsible for 20% of global electricity consumption and for 6-8% of global greenhouse gas emissions (GHG).
Wider use of energy efficient lighting technologies already available today would lead to significant energy savings and can reduce current CO2 emission by half. A range of government incentives and other programs currently exist to encourage lighting retrofits in existing facilities as well as to lead developers to install efficient lighting in new projects.
Metrolight has invested significant resources and years of manpower and expertise into the development of more efficient and better performing lighting technologies.
