Environmental AssociationsEnergy Star
Energy Star was introduced by EPA in 1992 as a voluntary, market-based partnership to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency. Today, the ENERGY STAR label can be found on more than 50 different kinds of products, new homes and commercial and industrial buildings. In 2010, Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved enough energy in 2010 alone to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 33 million cars — all while saving nearly $18 billion on their utility bills. For more information, visit www.energystar.gov. Metrolight is an ENERGY STAR partner. Globe Forum
Globe Forum has since its start in 2003 worked as an accelerator for bringing sustainable innovations to the market. This has been done by matching innovative companies with industrial and market demand, helping them find knowledge, capital, network and media exposure trough the web portal and real-life forums. According to Herald Tribune Globe Forum is the leading marketplace for sustainable innovations in Europe. Globe Forum’s challenge is to use the power of crowd-sourcing to make easier for people and companies to take action and change. Through our conferences as well as an active online community, Globe Forum creates a productive environment for sustainable projects, helping them to become reality. |
